Yup it actually happened. While on a random trip to the Grotto at Cyprus Lake, we ended up leaving with a new found goal…to get through the next 7 months without going crazy as we start planning for our upcoming wedding.
From orchestrating random strangers to take part and record the moment, to pretending to strike a titanic pose while finding the right moment to take out the ring (and not dropping it into the water), the proposal was executed in stealth yet with the added silliness and humour that is only necessary in our relationship.
We are excited for what the Lord has in store for us as we move forward with a new chapter in our lives together. At the same instance, we also realize the importance of remembering that the gift of marriage from God is not to be taken lightly. As we continue to pray that Christ would be the center in our relationship that allows us to love each other deeper, we reflect on how wonderfully blessed we are that we have gotten this far because of Him and His love for us. We have had our ups and down, failings and wins, but at the end of the day, to serve one another, grow spiritually with one another, and truly love one another as Christ has loved us will now be our continual adventure together which we look forward to sharing.
