Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
Proverbs 19:21 ESV
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
I’d be lying if I said we weren’t a little disappointed to not be able to celebrate our wedding with everyone this year. We had to make the decision again to postpone our wedding date because the current meeting limits in place for the province have stopped us from being able to reach our guest count. Although we cannot officially celebrate with everyone this year, God provided us the ability to get our marriage license and we are still planning to officially marry this year before the license expires.
How does that translate to our celebration? We will still do a full ceremony next year for everyone in attendance along with the reception. Although Kris and I will have been married before then, we wanted to celebrate all the important aspects of our marriage celebration with our friends and loved ones present.
We’ve always joked about eloping and in a sense this situation has given us the opportunity to experience both a small ceremony and a large one for later. At the end of the day, we will continue to go with the flow of what God has in store for us. Please pray for us as we move forward in this new chapter for our lives and we continue to pray for everyone of you to be safe and reliant on the Lord for his bountiful provisions.
We will keep everyone posted on future updates.
